(1) Put propanediol, acrylic acid, catalyst, solvent, and polymerization inhibitor into the reactor and stir thoroughly to form a mixture;
(2) Open the steam valve of the reactor and heat slowly, so that the temperature is 70-90℃ and the reaction is maintained at this temperature for 20-40 minutes;
(3) Continue to heat up to 80-115℃, reflux for 3-5h, the reaction is over;
(4) Add an aqueous solution of soda ash and an aqueous solution of sodium chloride to the mixture, wash and take the upper organic phase;
(5) Remove the solvent from the upper organic phase;
(6) Cool Press and filter to obtain the finished product. The process of the invention is simple, fewer by-products and wastewater are generated, the activity and flexibility are good, the color, acidity, viscosity, and shrinkage are low, the yield is high, and the quality is good.
